This is a small-bodied Torres shape classical guitar with an X-braced top. Spruce top/indian rosewood back and sides. 640mm scale length. It was made for young students at the Yehudi Menuhin School - hence the choice of a smaller body and shorter scale-length.
Richard Wright, guitar teacher at the Menuhin School writes:
It is extremely important for youngsters to have the right size guitar. To have one as good as the 640mm X-braced model you supplied to YMS in 2009 is a bonus. So far five of my younger pupils have benefitted from it, one after the other. It has enabled them to understand what 'good sound' is - and how to produce it - at an age when they are not yet big enough for a full size concert instrument. Thanks Rohan!
