Josef Pages As can be seen from the photos the guitar arrived in very poor condition with many cracks to the back and front. Under the bridge ( which wasn't original) some areas of the top were badly damaged, and some missing . Consequently, a bridge support needed to be added. You can clearly see all the new wood and the silk supports which have been added to the front and back - later on I coloured these down to blend them in. All the struts to the front needed re-glueing to a greater or lesser extent and the back had to be rebuilt. The rib centre joint and all the rib supports also need refixing. Eventually, the back could be glued back on and then a new bridge made and work to the fretboard to make the guitar playable again. I had to replace some of the missing central motif of the rosette which was fortunately very simple - just a series of bone rings butted up together.
