This spruce and indian rosewood model is a cut-away version of my long-bar braced crossover design ( hence the elliptical sound-hole) which has commonalities with french C19th designs by Laprevotte. It is very nice to strum or pluck. Immediacy, warmth, good clarity and separation plus very nice sustain make it very suitable for finger-style playing and jazz as well as playing classical stuff. A low body resonance of F ensures a bass with depth. It had to have a pick-up fitted since the owner plays in a band, but acoustically, of course, it sounds much better without it - I loved playing it before it went out.
